Mes coups d’œil
« Bien que j’utilise la photo
pour mes créations graphiques, il s’agit ici
essentiellement de travaux personnels. Les photos sont surtout
pour moi une autre façon de rêver. Comme on flâne,
quand on se balade et on lève la tête. Et hop,
clic ! C’est sûrement pour ça que je prends
des photos du ciel et des arbres. J'aime bien aussi les ambiances
un peu kitsch des soleils couchants.
La lumière. C'est un instant vague
et très fugitif à saisir, qui détermine
tout.
En fait, je suis attiré par
les paysages dont les motifs deviennent abstraits. Photographier
des signes, des écritures me passionne aussi. On rejoint
la peinture. Il y a peu de gens dans ces photos finalement,
sauf quand ils sont seuls ou presque, même dans mes
photos pour le théâtre.
Je suis touché aussi par la tendresse qui se dégage
de certains animaux. Il sont beaux et ne vous regardent jamais
de travers quand vous les photographiez !
J’ai travaillé au début en noir et blanc,
quand j’avais la possibilité de tirer mes photos,
ou au moins, de contrôler le tirage.
Je privilégie davantage la couleur
aujourd’hui. Je travaille avec un Nikon reflex ou bien
avec un petit Sony numérique.
J’utilise mes photos pour des travaux graphiques, des
photomontages, mais sinon, il s’agit la plupart du temps
de croquis, de prises de note visuelles instantanées.

PHOTOS
« Even if I use photography for my graphic creations,
the work presented here is essentially personal. Photos are
for me another way to dream. As like walking around, raising
your head and “click”. That’s certainly
why I take photos of the sky and trees. I also like the kitsch
atmosphere of sunsets. The light. It’s a vague and
fugitive moment to capture, the one that determines it all.
In fact, I’m attracted by landscapes when their image
becomes abstract. Taking photos from signs and writing is
passionate for me. It joins painting. There are few people
in my photos, only sometimes, when they are alone or nearly
alone, even in my photos for the theatre. I’m also
very touched by the tenderness of some animals. They are
beautiful and never have a bad look when you take their photo.
In the beginning my photos were in black and white, when
I had the possibility to do the developing by myself or when
I could control the developing. Today, I prefer taking coloured
photos. I’m working with a Nikon Reflex or a little
numerical Sony.
I use my photos for graphic work, for photomontage but most
of the time they are sketches, notes of the moment. They
are my glances.»
